Some of the most authentic beaches are:
Torre Mozza beach, completely immersed in the natural area of the Sterpaia Coastal Park and 3 km from the centre of Follonica, is famous for its sand dunes, but above all for the ancient 16th century tower that served as a lookout point and defence of the coast against possible Saracen incursions.
Carbonifera beach is located in the Sterpaia coastal park, between Follonica and Torre Mozza beach. Carbonifera is surrounded by an atmospheric, centuries-old pine forest and is characterised

that offers spectacular plays of light and colour.
Cala Violina, located between Follonica and Punta Ala in the Bandite di Scarlino Nature Park, is an
unspoilt jewel of the Tuscan Maremma.
This enchanting cove, which owes its name to the magical, melodic sound that the sand makes
under your feet when you step onto it, offers a scene of pure natural beauty. The turquoise water
blends with the lush green of the Mediterranean forest that surrounds the cove, creating an
unforgettable spectacle of colours and contrasts.
Access to Cala Violina is a path through the Mediterranean forest, which offers hikers breathtaking
